I used to love
To play with dolls…

I’d rip off their heads
And play with their hair

What was the use for the bodies?

The bodies were usually
Mangled beyond repair
When my dog was through with them

But what did I care?

I only wanted the dolls
For their hair…

oh ... very twisted sounding but really cool I like the simple way you talk about it. it just gives me the image of a little girl play with the heds and brusing there hair, I love how you ended it:D. totally diff from me I would flip out at anyone who mess with my dolls, lol.

It's been a while since I've had time to read through your stuff but what a great reminder of why I read it in the first place. I'm not sure if you intended the impression I got from it (Sometimes I think I think too much about very simple things =P) The way I saw it was that when you were a child it didn't matter about the bodies of dolls or indeed humans, you only cared about the head and the hair. The head is the part that shows emotion and friendliness whereas the body had no use.. You didn't care that it was slim and beautiful, you just wanted to play with the hair.. yep thinking too much again.. stupid psychological interpretations o_O

That's actually really close to what I was thinking when I wrote this. (Even though I really did pull off the dolls heads.)

 And I'm glad you still think my stuff is still worth reading...

I used to sit for hours and just play with their hair... I never really cared about the rest of the doll, as long as I had the heads to play with. (And push come to shove, those weren't all that loved either. There were always plenty of people I could get to let me do their hair... )

I'm glad you like this. It was just one of those spur of the moment type poems.

Thank you so much for the fave! I'm glad you like this.

I loved playing with the hair. I would attempt to cut the hair and wash the hair and once i even attempted to dye the hair... it never seemed to work out all that well. :) And I really did end up with mangled doll bodies... my dog thought that they were wonderful toys.

I was working on the proof of one of my poems all the morning, and took out a comma. In the afternoon I put it back again. -Oscar Wilde-
